THE COLORS OF MY LOVE

"The Colors Of My Love" art portrait series is a compilation of digital, abstract, and mixed media collage, acrylic paint artworks honoring my present and past family, friends, and their pet companions. This has been a long anticipated passion project and art series that I wanted to challenge myself with for years. Portraiture has always been a challenge for me and this is an area in my art skills that I want to improve upon and strengthen. Below are past artworks and present artworks I have completed for this series. This is also another series of art that I want to continue to add to for many years to come. Mixed media collage work is a strength of mine and I wanted to combine both this method and acrylic painting to create one of a kind portraits of the ones that I love. Using vibrant colors, I wanted to paint and collage “my loves” against gradient ethereal backgrounds of cascading florals, vegetation, stars, and planets.
